It begins with you. But you are not alone. Deciding to improve your life is a great decision, but often scary. THRIVE Academy has created a safe, compassionate, and trustworthy place for you to begin this journey. Don't stop here, but read on and begin putting action to your decision.
You know us! Frances, Marisa, Danny, Bob, Marcela, Judy, Damaris, Claudia, Kaitlyn, Yesika, Luis, and Pastor Rob. LETS DO THIS!
The mission of Heart of the City has always been to Love Others, Serve Others, and Help Others. For the THRIVE Academy as a division of Heart of the City, our targeted mission within the organization is to Help, Train, and Guide others toward the goal of self-sufficiency. What that means is that at the THRIVE Academy, we will walk with you through the process of gaining, managing, and mastering the knowledge and resources you need to reach your dreams.
THRIVE Academy seeks to be an interdisciplinary resource center for personal growth, education and training, career development, and financial management training. Opportunities are provided through in-person classes or groups, online courses, one-to-one wise counsel, or through access to digital books from libraries all over the nation.
We are people just like you. THRIVE Academy is led and administered by a team of people who have learned that freedom to live begins with having your heart in the right place. When you learn to love, serve, and help others, you also begin to develop to the place where you reach your dreams.
Your leadership team at THRIVE Academy share a common bond of faith. We all realize that we can do nothing on our own, yet we require a dependance on others and on God. The foundation stone of all we are is how we relate to God. It's not religion, nor a crutch, nor a tradition, but stems from a relationship.
In line with our mission, purpose, and core values, THRIVE Academy holds to behavioral standards that we feel promote the most successful learning environment and desired outcome. Expectations are that we all embrace these whether in classes, groups, online, or in one-to-one settings as well.

At times and in certain classes, groups, and situations, you will be asked to cover some minimal costs for books, supplies, or fees. Full details of these possible costs will be determined when you enroll.
